HOW I GOT A FLAT STOMACH/ABS
Hello loves, so this blog is long overdue but here it goes. I just had to make a blog about this topic of flat stomach and abs because if i could get a dollar from every person that asks 'how do i get a flat stomach? 'how did you get abs? ect...' i would be a millionaire, lol, okay jokes aside. I will be letting you guys know what exactly I did to get a flat stomach and the chiseled abs.
Before we get into it, I do want to point out that these things will only work if you remain consistent and do all these things (not one or the other) in order to get 100% results. All results are individual and as all things fitness be hardworking and patient and the results will show.
1. HIIT CARDIO
High-intensity interval training is a great way to turn your body into a fat burning machine. HIIT cardio gets your heart beating faster keeping your heart rate up and in turn help you burn fat faster in a short period of time. I preferably do HIIT in the morning and fasted (when i haven't taken any food for the day) for me it helps with burning more fat since I'm using the energy from my fat storage, but if you have to take in food that is also okay, which ever works for you. Also train 3-4 times a week.
2. NUTRITION
It's true what 'they' say abs are made in the kitchen. You do have to watch the food that you consume. Eat more whole foods(grains, vegetables, fruits, lean meats) and limit/reduce/stop intake of alcohol, soda and high sugar filled drinks.
3.INCREASE WATER INTAKE
Water is very essential when it comes to not only getting a flat stomach but also helping you in flushing out toxins, giving you energy and burning fat. Water intake of 2-3 liters of water a day is great.
4.BE IN A CALORIC DEFICIT
What do i mean? consume less food then you normally would. In order to lose fat and reveal those abs, its essentials to be in a low calorie plan where you eat +-500 calories less than your maintenance level. There are a lot of calculators online where you can calculate to know how many calories you burn and how much you need to consume in order to lose fat.
5.AB EXERCISES
Doing ab exercises helps in making your core muscles stronger and aids in shaping them. Do them everyday and they do not take long 10 minutes and you are done. Search on YouTube and Pinterest for different workouts so you don't get bored of the same exercises.
6.VACUUM EXERCISES
Vacuum exercises are slept on, these exercises are great for building strong core muscles and creating a flat stomach. you can perform these every where really. How to do them?, inhale deeply with your core abdominal muscles and try to hold it in for 10-15 seconds and breathe out. Do this for about 10 times through out the day.
ADDITIONAL:
- Unfortunately you cannot spot reduce fat, so overall body weight loss is essential to get abs and a flat stomach.
